The devastating effects of the Glass Wildfire from 2020,

and, the clean-up and eventual restoration of the burned areas.

The Glass Fire that began on September 27, 2020, was a wildfire in Northern California that burned for 23 days and destroyed nearly 68,000 acres.

I've recently been photographing in the burned zone above St. Helena in Napa Valley.

Many of my photos show the difficult work that is currently underway, clearing the forest of the trees that did not survive the fire.

What’s fire. You can tell me about oxidation, but that doesn’t tell me a thing.
