On Taylor Street near Sacramento, in front of the Grace Cathedral Rectory, is a section of the 19th century Charles Crocker retaining wall and fence that once surrounded Crocker’s mansion. On the face of the pedestal one can see the remaining blackened fire marks left from the Great Conflagration of 1906.
