Halloween around Half Moon Bay

About forty minutes south of San Francisco is the beautiful costal farming country of Half Moon Bay. In late October, many of the farms in this area create colorful and elaborate Halloween displays alongside their pumpkin patches. They provide pony rides and haystack rides, petting zoos, haunted houses and bounce houses, and food stands with delicious fresh baked pumpkin pies and pumpkin breads. Yesterday afternoon, (the Sunday of the week before Halloween), the incredibly beautiful (but only two lane) California Highway One that runs along the Pacific coast, was bumper to bumper traffic in both lanes for as far as the eyes could see. Countless families with children from around the Bay Area had come to this rural area to pick their Halloween pumpkins right off the vine and enjoy the festive displays and features that the different farms were putting on.
These photos are a few of the many that I shot on Sunday. Ron
