Point Bonita in the Marin Headlands

Late yesterday, Dave and I drove over the Golden Gate Bridge into the Marin Headlands with the hope of catching a nice sunset. It was windy and cold on the north side of the Gate, and a fog was beginning to develop as the daylight disappeared. We stopped deep in the Headlands near Point Bonita, and despite the hard cold wind we walked the trails along the coastal cliffs, visiting the lonely ruins left from World War 2 that are scattered across this incredibly beautiful landscape. The sunset of course didn’t disappoint us, and later, we had the bonus of seeing the full moon rise while we were on the great span returning to San Francisco.
